To get to the airport from the city center by public transportation, you can get on the municipal buses which depart in front of the Lion Statues (at Zafer Kuyumcusu) according to flight times.
You can also benefit from the Sınır Tourism shuttle services which depart in front of Faikbey Caddesi Vergül Tourism in order to reach the airport from Kars city center. These shuttle vehicles depart from the city center 2 hour before the flights. Sınır Tourism shuttles provide this service for the passengers in Kars as well as the passengers coming from Ardahan. The shuttle services that you can take in front of the Sınır Tourism agency on Kongre Street depart 2 and a half hours before the flight.
Kars Harakani Airport serves as a one-storey terminal building that hosts domestic flights. The airport provides transportation services not only for the passengers who travel to and from Kars and its districts, but also for the passengers who would like to go the surrounding cities such as Ağrı, Ardahan and Artvin. There is also an airport in the city and both domestic and international flights are operated from here. Bahrain International Airport is only 86 kilometers from the city center. From Dammam King Fahd International Airport you can reach the city center by taxi.
Different companies' offices are available at the airport to rent a car. For passengers who prefer to use means of public transport, bus services are arranged.
If you do not prefer public transport, you can find a taxi at the airport's passenger exit. It is possible to reach the city center by taxi in a short time, less than half an hour, at a cost of about 50-60 SAR.
You should not forget that taxis do not have taximeters. For this reason, it is useful to tell the driver your destination in advance and agree on the fare.
If you prefer public transport, you can get to the city center by public buses operated by the Saptco Company. The journey takes up to 40 minutes and the ticket price is 12 SAR per person for one way.
You can also reach El Huber and El Hassa cities outside the city center by these buses. You can visit the Saptco Information Desk at the passenger terminal for departure times and route information.
There are the offices of ten domestic and foreign car rental companies in the airport. If you are going to drive a car from the airport to the city center, you must turn east at the terminal exit and connect to King Fahd Road.
