Located in Siberia, Russia, the city of Krasnoyarsk is situated along the banks of the Yenisei River, which is the world’s largest river system that flows into the Artic Ocean. Located near the city, covering an area of 472 square kilometers is the Stolby Nature Sanctuary; a natural wonder with unique formations and rock complexes that are perfect for climbing.

The Stolby Nature Sanctuary attracts rock climbers and those interested in trekking from all around the world. The city center features a variety of interesting flower sculptures. Major tourist attractions in the city include the Karaulnaya Gora, Vasily Surikov Estate Museum, Krasnoyarsk Regional Museum, and the White Horse Monument. The city receives a significant amount of rainfall year-round and has a cold and temperate climate. The Yemelyanovo Airport serves the city and is located 27 km northwest of the city.

Krasnoyarsk is one of the most beautiful cities of cold Siberia, with a history of over 400 years. The Russian writer Chekhov made the city famous for its natural beauties, including the Yenisei River which freezes over in winter. The entire area surrounding Krasnoyarsk is covered with forests. The steep rocks in Stolby National Park attracts visitors from all over the world and the city welcomes both summer and winter tourists. While in winter the temperature can dip below -50 degrees, in the summer traditional and international festivals are held in the city, which reaches its warmest time in June. The city is located on the Trans-Siberian Railway, which begins in Moscow and reaches Vladivostok which is across the sea from Japan. Travelling on this railway offers the opportunity to travel to almost all of Russia.

In the city, road transport is provided by buses and taxis. Yemelyanovo Airport is the only public transport bus used to reach the city center. Thanks to the taxis, access to the city center is easy when buses are not available.

It is possible to reach Krasnoyarsk by taxi all day. Only one taxi company is available at the airport and a taxi can be reserved at the desired time via the company website. In addition, large vehicles are being offered to passengers on demand for large groups of passengers.

Bus

You can travel by bus number 635, which belongs to Kras-Bus Managing company, and departs from Terminal 1 at the airport. When boarding the bus, you can buy tickets in advance or you can pay the bus driver in cash. A vehicle is moving every hour from 5:50 am to 02:00 am in the morning. The journey starting at the airport ends at the intercity bus terminal in the center.
