Transportation to Airport from Amman City Center

Queen Alia Intl. Airport

Taxi, bus and car rental are among the transportation options in Amman, the capital city of Jordan, to reach Queen Alia Airport. Queen Alia Airport also has ample parking spaces for those who want to travel by their car.

Taxi

You can arrive at Queen Alia Airport fast, comfortably and safely from the city center by taking the advantage of taxis. You can call a taxi, which is equipped with the latest technology, from anywhere in the city and take a taxi to catch your flight.

Bus

It is both more affordable and easier to get to Queen Alia Airport by taking the city buses in Amman. Wireless internet connection is available in the Arrival and Departure halls for the convenience of passengers and there are also various places for eating, drinking, and shopping. Grab & Go, Grab & Fly Cafe, Blue Fig, World News Cafe, Shawarma Rama, Jareer, Brasserie & Bar, Catalina Cafe & Bar, Crumz, Popeyes, Mc Donald’s, Kalha, Starbucks, Freeze Creamery Ice Cream and Zalatimo are among the eating and drinking places. Snax, Nuts & More, WH Smith, Duty Free Shop and Aldeasa are some of the places you can do shopping at the airport.

Taxi

McCarran International Airport features over 10 taxi companies that provide service to the city center. Taxis are a convenient way to get to downtown Las Vegas from the airport. There are two routes taxis can take from the airport to the city center. Taxis can go from the freeway, which ends up being a bit faster, or through the city, which is a bit more scenic as you drive down the strip but can be longer depending on traffic. Not all taxis accept credit card payments so make sure to ask the driver beforehand. Taxis are easily accessible at the terminal exits.

Bus

Buses are another method of transportation to get to the city center from the airport. Buses are a more affordable option compared to taxis. Bus routes 108 109, and the Westcliff Airport Express route serve Terminal 1; these buses are accessible from level 0. The Westcliff Airport Express and Centennial Express routes serve Terminal 3; these buses are accessible from the departures curb on level 2. Bus tickets can be purchased from the automatic ticket machines located next to the stops. You can use a credit card and purchase an hourly pass or daily pass. Shuttle buses are another transportation alternative to get to the city center from the airport. These group shuttles provide convenient transportation to downtown Las Vegas, making multiple stops along the way. Service providers such as Airline Shuttle and Showtime Tours provide shuttle services to most major hotels/resorts in the city 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These shuttles are accessible at the terminal exits with airport personnel ready to help passengers if needed. Rental Car

Renting a car at the airport is another convenient way to get to the city and enjoy the city during your trip. You can rent a car from the McCarran Rent-A-Car Center, which is accessible using a free shuttle service. The shuttle service to the Rental Car Center is blue and white. After you land just follow the signs to Ground Transportation, which will guide you to the Rental Car Shuttle area. You can also return your vehicle at the Rental Car Center before your departure at the end of your trip. Rental car companies that you can choose from include Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Hertz, and Thrifty.
